We are excited to welcome you to an in-person Mission Meetup on Tuesday, September 22nd, held at the Rochester International Events Center.

Agenda:

  • Time to Talk: roundtable topics

Month End Inventory

On Wednesday, September 30th, Channel One will conduct month-end inventory. The order window will be closed and online ordering on Agency Express will be unavailable from 4pm on Tuesday, September 29th until 11am on Wednesday, September 30th.
You can continue to expect adjusted order window hours on the last business day of each month to accommodate our monthly inventory counts.

CSFP and TEFAP Cheese Notice

Please be aware that item T100035 Cheese, REF that appears on your shopping list is the same cheese that gets distributed with CSFP boxes. It is the exact same product, but with different dates and lot numbers. This has caused some confusion and will need higher level attention to inventory tracking. The CSFP cheese will always arrive with your CSFP boxes, and the TEFAP cheese will arrive during your usual standing delivery appointments. If your agency receives your CSFP boxes at the same time as your standing delivery appointment, please take special care to track the two deliveries.

If possible, storing the two cheeses in separate areas with clear labels is recommended. That being said, we recognize that not all of our agencies have the storage capacity to do this. If storage space is an issue, please make sure you are tracking the exact quantity of CSFP cheeses delivered to you to ensure it matches the quantity that has been distributed.

Please share this information with your staff and volunteers, as this will require a collaborative effort to keep things in compliance with TEFAP and CSFP program guidelines. If you need additional support or guidance, please reach out to [email protected].

Ordering Adjustments:

The team has offered inventory support for high demand foods such as milk, eggs and produce during your order window. (See Agency Handbook p. 7) We have learned that making order adjustments on your behalf creates inventory discrepancies for other agencies ordering at the same time. To support equitable distribution for the entire region, we are discontinuing the practice of adding items to your order. It is possible to edit your order during your 24-hour order window. We know through trial and error that opening and resubmitting orders, when done quickly, generally works best. 

Order Editing Guide

It is possible to submit orders for delivery (even with a specific delivery appointment) outside of the 24-hour order window. We have received orders as late as 3 pm for delivery the following day. When we close the order window at 7 am, we release all orders for picking and palletizing. Processing orders after that creates inventory discrepancies for agencies who order within the new 24-hour window. The team will reject orders received after the order window closes. 

Order windows are:
• For Monday delivery —> Order previous Thursday starting at 7 am
• For Tuesday delivery —> Order previous Friday starting at 7 am
• For Wednesday delivery —> Order previous Monday starting at 7 am
• For Thursday delivery —> Order previous Tuesday starting at 7 am
• For Friday delivery —> Order previous Wednesday starting at 7 am

Upcoming Holiday Closures

Channel One will be closed on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day. If your agency typically receives a delivery on the 1st Monday, September 7th, your makeup delivery will be on Friday, September 4th and your order window will be on Wednesday September 2nd. If you receive a delivery on the 2nd Tuesday, September 8th, your new order window will be on Thursday, September 3rd. If you receive a delivery on the 2nd Wednesday, September 9th, your new order window will be on Friday, September 4th.
