    As a TEFAP-eligible food shelf, Channel One Food Shelf is required to make voter registration materials available to the public.

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

    SNAP is a federal program that provides assistance for low-income individuals and families to purchase nutritious food. Individuals and families qualify for SNAP based on their income.

  • United Way 2-1-1

    United Way 2-1-1 is an easy-to-remember, three-digit number that families and individuals can call to obtain free and confidential information on health and human services. 2-1-1 call centers are staffed 24/7 by trained Community Resource Specialists who quickly assess needs and refer callers to the help that they seek.

  • The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program

    This program pays benefits to disabled adults and children who have limited income and resources. SSI benefits also are payable to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits.

  • Hunger Solutions & Minnesota HelpLine

    Hunger Solutions supports programs that provide food to those in need by advancing sound public policy, building grassroots advocacy, and informing and educating the public about the status of hunger in Minnesota. Hunger Solutions also maintains a digital map of all food shelves in Minnesota, so clients can find their closest resource.

  • Medical Assistance

    Medicare is the United States’ health insurance program for people aged 65 or older.

  • MinnesotaCare

    MinnesotaCare is a healthcare program for Minnesotans with low incomes.

  • Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)

    Under ACP, eligible households can apply for this program which provides a discount of up to $30 off their monthly internet bill. Households are eligible if they have an income that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines; or if a member of the household participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, SSI, WIC, or Lifeline.
