ROCHESTER, Minnesota—Join Epicure: One Bite at a Time’s honorary co-chairs Jim and Nora Rogers at the 3rd annual event April 26 as tickets are now on sale.

Featuring approximately 12 partnering restaurants providing epicurean bites, Epicure will give approximately 250 guests a chance to eat, drink, socialize, and come together around something that connects us all: food.

Throughout the evening, attendees can enjoy tours of the facility, diverse foods and beverages, custom boutique cocktails, games, raffles, and a short program raising awareness of food insecurity that impacts neighbors in our community.

Every year, esteemed community members are selected to be the honorary co-chairs for the event. This year’s co-chairs Jim and Nora share why Channel One’s mission of strengthening food access and building healthy communities resonates with them.

Jim has held several positions at Mayo Clinic, including Chief Business Development Officer and Senior Administrator for Strategy. Most recently, Jim is the Chief Executive Officer of Mayo Clinic Digital Pathology and Senior Administrator for Generative AI. Prior to Jim’s time at Mayo, he was a patent attorney for 3M and prior to that Dorsey & Whitney LLC. Jim’s special areas of interest include local economic development and community improvement. Jim and Nora have three daughters and reside in Rochester.

“It’s an honor to support an organization that not only provides an essential service but does so with tremendous efficiency and innovation. As more people in our community turn to local food shelves for help, Channel One continuously meets the need by expanding services and making them more accessible. Your dollars will have a direct impact for people in our community,” says Jim.

Nora is a Senior Education Specialist and student supervisor with the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Other areas of focus include academic affairs, curriculum development and quality improvement. Nora has over 20 years of experience as an educator, educational leader, mentor, and community volunteer. She is passionate about all students and creating an environment where they thrive and learn the necessary skills for success.

“I have witnessed firsthand the critical importance of secure food sources for student success. Events like Epicure highlight the immense need that Channel One strives to fulfill. With the unwavering support of our community members, Channel One can continue its vital mission of providing a stable food source and a dignified experience for those in need,” said Nora.

More than $124,000 was raised from Epicure in 2024. Proceeds from this year’s event will support Channel One Regional Food Bank and its programs to address food insecurity in 14 counties in southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
