ROCHESTER, Minn.—The last day for purchasing Empty Bowls To-Go soup is Wednesday.

Empty Bowls To-Go pre-orders will be taken online until 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 2. Because this is a to-go event, there will be no walk-up orders onsite. People will be able to select their desired pick-up time between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. either Tuesday, October 8 or Wednesday, October 9.

Five different local restaurants will be providing a variety of soups that can be purchased in either 12 oz. (a bowl) or 16 oz. (pint) sizes for $20 and $25 respectively. Every order of soup comes with bread and a free hand-painted bowl if selected during the order process. Specialty bowls crafted by local artisans are also available online for purchase during pre-orders or at the event October 8-9.

The 20th annual Empty Bowls To-Go fundraiser presented by Channel One Regional Food Bank and Think Bank will be from October 8-9.

All funds raised from the event will be put back into the community and will directly benefit those who are facing food insecurity in Channel One’s 14-county service region. This support comes at a critical time when the Channel One Food Shelf is seeing an unprecedented need with more than 10,000 household visits in August, a 37% increase over August 2023.

The Empty Bowls To-Go 2024 pre-order form can be found here.
